The Tree of Life is a faith-based church with our roots grounded deeply in the Word of God. Our mission has always been to follow God and the direction He leads us in. Anyone visiting The Tree of Life will experience this for themselves. We are also a visionary church whose vision is to increase our faith mentally, spiritually, and physically. We believe that by bringing the Lord's tithes into the store house, He will continue to pour out Blessings that there will not be room enough to receive it. Our Pastor

Pastor Johnson

Pastor Sean Johnson was born July 17, 1970, in Pomona, CA, to the late Pastor E. C. and Mrs. Gladys Johnson. He is the youngest of 6 children.

His Ministerial mentor was his father, the late Pastor E. C. Johnson, from birth to 1990.

In November of 1997, New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Tulare, CA, called Rev.Johnson to Pastor for two years.

In 2014, Pastor Johnson answered the call to organize Great Commission Baptist Church in Tulare, CA. After 2 ½ years, he began to serve as Interim Pastor of the Tree of Life Missionary Baptist Church in Porterville, CA. When Pastor Charlie Reed retired from the pastorate on April 1, 2018, the Tree of Life members unanimously chose Pastor Johnson as their new Pastor. He merged the two churches under one name, Tree of Life Missionary Baptist Church.

Pastor Johnson earned his Bachelor’s Degree in 2021 and is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree at the Agape Extension Bible College Seminary.

Pastor Johnson is married to Jamie Sams-Johnson; they have three children and three grandchildren.
